Application + Challenge

Exciting news! Applications open this Fall Quarter. You’ll get to share your thoughts through a few prompts and take on our fun Design Challenge. It's a great chance to let your creativity shine! We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Coffee Chat

After we review the applications, we’ll invite selected candidates to join a casual coffee chat. It’s a relaxed opportunity to get to know our club and meet some of our amazing members.

Final Interviews

If you’re selected for the final stage, you’ll have a 30-minute interview with two of our board members. It’s a chance to dive deeper into your interests and how you can contribute to our club.

Onboarding

Congratulations and welcome aboard! Once you're accepted into the club, we’ll help you get started by adding you to our channels and providing you with all the info you need to get involved and make the most of your membership.

Why should I join Innovative Design at UCLA?

By being part of Innovative Design, you're part of a community of creatives looking to support the greater design community at UCLA. You'll have access to our workshops, speaker events, and gain an alumni network across UCLA, UC Berkeley, and USC!

What would I do as a member?

As a member, you will be a part of a team of designers or photographers to work on client and personal projects throughout the quarter. Weekly commitments include general meetings, workshops, and critiques with your team members and team leads.

Do I need experience to apply?

Although we're looking for members with past experience in a specific discipline, we're always looking for the potential growth in members interested in growing in their creative field. However, if you have any work that can show us your creative abilities, we'd love to see that in your application.
